New career strategy: Get published without doing any actual work. Status, Vol. 1 is a collection of funny, smirky, and pointed Facebook updates with a purpose. Although Dynamo’s intro sums it up: “In light of the mounting collective contempt for the snoozefest that is the social network ‘communication’ landscape, we were inspired to create this book and felt it our duty to remind you that there is another way…”, it’s really the dedication page that had me at Dedicated: “Dedicated to status junkies everywhere. Without you, this book would have been about something else.”
